I watched bits of 12K when it aired on local TV many years back. Then I recently marathoned the entire series. I actually found it really boring/hard to follow when I first saw it (because I was a stupid kid with a miserable attention span) but now it's definitely one of my favourites! I should go seek out the English-translated novels sometime...
